The Food Market focuses on approachable, serious comfort food, in a smartly designed industrial-modern space. Award-winning Chef Chad Gauss’ value-driven menu offers our guests a complete dining experience, by combining recognizable ingredients with unparalleled technique. Located on the Avenue in Hampden, The Food Market offers fine American eating from Chef Chad Gauss. Dinner is served on Sunday – Thursday from 5pm – 11pm, and on Friday & Saturday from 5pm- 12am. Brunch is available from 9am-3pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Our last brunch seating is 2:45pm sharp and our kitchen closes at 3 pm so that we have adequate time to prepare for dinner service.

The Private Kitchen
Our Private Kitchen offers the perfect place to refresh your dining experience. It seats up to 12 guests comfortably and features table side cooking and a 42" flat screen television with an HDMI hook up which can be used to screen anything you like, from slideshows to sporting events.
There are three options when using the private kitchen:
Five-Course Chef's Dinner $300 Room Fee + $80 per guest (Optional Wine Pairings for $20 per guest)
The first is a five-course meal, created by our chef, taking you from appetizers to dessert, with an option for hand selected wine pairings for the first four courses for $20 more per guest. The chef selects foods that are fresh and seasonal. We of course take into account any allergies or dietary restrictions such as gluten free or vegetarian and adapt the courses accordingly. Because of the proximity of cooking equipment and the closeness of the space, we ask that all guests be at least 18 years old.
For the Chef's Dinner, we ask a $300 Room Fee + $80 per guest. This fee includes the five courses, two personal cooks, and a server. Gratuity, MD Sales Tax and any beverages beyond the wine pairings, should you select that option, are additional fees. Once booked, you have the room for a half hour before your chosen dinner time, and for an hour after the meal’s conclusion, at which time guests are more than welcome to move upstairs to the bar in the main dining room.
A-la-Carte Meal $300 Room Fee
If the five course chef's menu isn't quite what you're looking for, you can also reserve The Private Kitchen for a $300 room fee and order a la carte from our main dining menu, with a personal server to attend to your party's needs. This is a great way to experience all the offerings of The Food Market with an exclusive touch.

Duck Breast | arugula, flowers, hot & spicy cherries
Sliced Lamb | peas, mint, goat cheese, coffee
Strawberries | jam, fresh, cream, compressed, biscuit, basil
Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis below and are not refundable within 24 hours of the dinner.
